Jordi Savall is with us again, this time with a program of French music that evokes the atmosphere of Tous les matins du monde, which has become a cult film. The sound track of Alain Corneau’s 1991 movie helped to bring before a vast public Jordi Savall and the “early” music of Marais, Rameau, Couperin, Lully and the mysterious figure of the viola da gamba player and composer Sainte-Colombe. Le Concert des Nations is the malleable group invented by Savall himself; its characteristics are well known thanks to its frequent presence at the Quartetto.

The concert will be preceded, at 5.30 p.m., by the projection of the film Tous les matins du monde in the Conservatory’s Sala Puccini.
